there is a terrific documentary on the man called "you're gonna miss me' and a rare recording on the soundtrack (one of my fav roky erickson songs)"unforced peace"
ReplyDeleteYeah, I saw that documentary a couple of years ago, the night before Roky played at the Royal Festival Hall - really fascinating/distrubing stuff, and "Eye Mind", Paul Drummond's book on the Elevators makes for essential reading too.
ReplyDeleteConsidering what he's been through over the years, as chronicled in both the film and the book, it's incredible that Roky's still able to stand on stage and rock his songs - what a survivor!
