Well, it had to happen. How could it not?

As you’ll be aware if you’ve been reading this weblog for a while, each October I used to make a downloadable Halloween mix CD, and post it both here and on my other weblog. [Check the Halloween tag to peruse the archive – links are probably dead, but always happy to re-up on request.]

Last year, I knocked it on the head simply because filling eighty minutes with a consistent mix of top quality horror-related material was becoming a bit of a stretch, but since I’m now back on the fake airwaves, what more reason did I need to trek back through a whole decade’s worth of Halloween mixes, picking out my favourite bits and assembling an All Time Greatest Hits of Horror Rock / Best Halloween Radio Show Ever type play-list, with a little bit of added talking thrown in?

So, here it is. I can’t speak for talking bits, but if the music herein doesn’t get you in the mood for a ragin’ good All Hallows Eve, nothing will.

(Lacking the time or energy to pull together any original artwork, I did the next best thing and stole some promotional artwork for the ‘The Monster Club’ (1980).)
